Slow Cookers

I just got one of these babies, and lemme tell you they are amazing. I slow cooked some turkey chops and the turkey is moist and not dry. I thought I wouldn't eat turkey for the next 6 months after trying to conquer a 13 pound turkey on my own, but these taste good.

Xmas Time

I still have one gift left to buy for my grandmother, but everything else is done!

Here's what I got some people (since no one reads my blog)

My sister wanted:

I'm not going to lie. I like this show too.

My dad I got:

Coffee from Greencastle Coffee Roasters. This is a great little place in Greencastle, PA that roasts their own beans in Victorian Roasters. I love their Highlander Grogg blend, White Chocolate Blueberry, and Chocolate Raspberry blends. Even though their website is a little 1995, it works and they ship their stuff extremely fast.

For my mom:

Kone Vacuum.

And my for cousins and aunt I got these:

Tea Infusers

Plus, Lapsang Souchong and Lavender Lemon Mint teas from Teaism. Those are my favorite two.

Records

A couple months ago Andrew and I were gifted my dad's record player and collection (which is pretty beast). Since then we have started buying new records to add on. Here's a summary of what I have gotten recently:

The Get Up Kids, Four Minute Mile.
This is probably in my top ten favorite albums. It brings me back.

Joy Division, Closer

Daft Punk, Discovery

David Bowie, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

Patti Smith, Horses

Andrew Bird, Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs
I am so pumped to own this because it's not in print and all the other ones I saw on the internet were so expensive.

Nerd out

Hi my maybe two blog readers,

Thanksgiving was okay. I went to my aunt's house. She lives in Adamstown, Frederick which is kind of the middle of nowhere. I took the exit off of 270 north to Urbana and from there I went on 80 which is also called Fingerboard Rd, which is a kind of creepy name but I can't figure out why. I just get the mental image of a finger stuck through a piece of wood. Fingerboard Rd is pitch black, windy, and hilly and all the houses are probably late 19th century/early 20th century. Reminds me of Winsconsin Death Trip. It's the kind of road that would be perfect for a scary story. You just expect to see a creepy old man step out into the middle of the road and scare the shit out of you.

Seeing my relatives was nice. They all expressed concern over the status of my life since my parents are in South Korea now. The food was good, and there were many pies to choose from.
